Olijaba Entertainments CEO and artist Macky 2 has dropped a brand new tune today titled “Dear Slapdee”. The song is a message to Slapdee, the founder of XYZ Entertainments, a rapper who has been a key figure in the Zambian music industry. People still talk about the beef between Macky 2 and Slapdee that included other artists like Chef 187 as the battle continues to be the largest known beef in the history of Zambian hip-hop.
But this time Macky 2 isn’t taking shots. In “Dear Slapdee” he is giving thanks. He says Slapdee inspired him even before being on TV and says he is not afraid to say that. Macky 2 also uses some of the song to apologize to Maya, who got caught up in their beef many years ago. Macky 2 also complements XYZ for signing strong artists over the years. He leaves Slapdee with a message that the industry still needs him and it’s still not time yet to sit down.
