Yo Maps, Zambian hitmaker and CEO of Olios Records, has finally released one of the most requested singles from fans, “Lwambo.” For the past few months, fans have been stirring with excitement because earlier this year, Yo Maps went live on Facebook and snippets of the song took over. The buzz escalated tremendously and many followers urged him to officially release it. He has now officially dropped “Lwambo.”
The production work on “Lwambo” comes from Kintec and C Mark, who has produced many of Yo Maps more recent hits. Fan responses have been consistent with each notable release this year from Yo Maps. Fans received the emotional tributes “I Wish” and “Muniposheleko” with much love; also “Mr & Mrs” was also received well by fans. Before the official launch, the anticipation for the release of “Lwambo” continued to rise on TikTok where over 20,000 videos using the song were posted prior to the release; this is a huge indication of the song’s impact.
Now fans can also check out the official music video directed by Dj Lo on Yo Maps YouTube channel, which compliments the song beautifully and gives fans a visual way of engaging with the song, or the original audio version can continue to be streamed for download.
